Los Angeles Galaxy
The Los Angeles Galaxy (or L.A. Galaxy) is a professional soccer team competing in Major League Soccer (MLS). The club was established in 1995 and is one of the ten original founding franchises of MLS.
The Galaxy won both the MLS Cup (2002, 2005) and the U.S. Open Cup (2001, 2005) twice. They share their stadium, The Home Depot Center in suburban Carson, California with MLS rival CD Chivas USA.
Most famous player at the present day is English international David Beckham, accompanied by Abel Xavier from Portugal.
Among former notable players are Andreas Herzog (Austria), US-star Cobi Jones and Nigerian Celestine Babayaro.
